Thermal analysis (Option)
The temperature distribution estimation is performed based on circuit analysis (to estimate heat sources), analysis of the heat transfer path, and the shape / material of the heat sink.
The results provide a general understand of temperature margins and facilitate comparison to competitors’ products.
The following data is the example of the thermal analysis.
Heat sink of an automotive DCDC convertor module.
There are air guide fins to blow air by cooling fan.
The heat sources and the PCB are mounted on the back side of heat sink.
